- Make all images 300px wide, with whitespace above and below.
- Try not to use more than 3 exclamation points in an email.
- Use only one “P.S.”
- Make it a call to action with a link
- The current one is: “P.S. Giving is easy, just click here.”
- Avoid excessive qualifiers
- These clutter up the text and burden the reader
- Can you say “youth” instead of “13-15 year olds”?
- Can you say “camp” or “week” instead of “4-5 days”?
- Use consistency with number qualifiers:
- 13-year-olds instead of 13-yr-olds
- Use consistency with references to God:
- “His holiness” instead of “his Holiness”
- Consider using links whenever there’s a reference:
- Link to Succat Hallel when mentioning “Succat Hallel”
- Link to Dor Haba when mentioning “Dor Haba”
- Consider using a line break and italics when referencing scripture:
- Instead of:
- Psalm 24:3-5, “Who can ascend the hill of the Lord…he who has clean hands and a pure heart”
- Try:
- “Who can ascend the hill of the Lord…he who has clean hands and a pure heart” – Psalm 24:3-5
