Why gather for 24-Hour prayer?

To seek God’s face in worship and unity, Jew and Arab together.

To humble themselves and repent for their sin and for the sin in their generation.

To ask for God to have mercy and to take away this “plague” of the Coronavirus on the Earth.

To ask God to heal their land.

To cry out for the salvation of Jews and Arabs in their neighborhoods, country, and region.

Invitation to Fast:

You are welcome to also fast with us during these 24 hours. You can fast from food (with parent’s permission) or any other thing that has a central place in your life like sweets, social media, entertainment, etc.

What would it require?

You would need to:

  • Sign up by clicking on the link above and pick which hour(s) you are able to lead prayer and worship.
  • Pick which topic you are praying about specifically from 2 Chronicles 7:14:
    • Hunger and humility for your generation to seek God’s face.
    • Repentance for the sin and hardness of heart in your generation (in people your age).
    • Mercy from God across the Earth during the Corona pandemic.
    • Healing of our people (spiritually and physically).
    • Salvation of the Jewish and Arab people.
  • Pick 2-5 scriptures to pray from in Hebrew or Arabic (or English, if necessary).
  • Prepare to do 3-4 songs of worship on the guitar or piano in Hebrew or Arabic.

Feel free to prepare with the help of a parent or youth leader.

If you want to lead the prayer only, then you can partner up with someone else who will lead the worship aspect of it.

If you want to lead the worship only, then you can pair up with someone else who will read the scriptures and pray.

You can volunteer as a youth group to lead the time together over Zoom, with one leading worship and others leading in prayer.

You can sign up as an individual, pair, or team to cover more than one hour if you would like.

All of the hours of prayer and worship will be led over the 24-hour Zoom call. Participants who aren’t leading are welcome to come and go from the Zoom call as they are able, preferably coming at the start of the hour and leaving at the end of the hour, not in the middle.

All participants are encouraged to be at the first, opening hour (Tuesday, 17:00-18:00) and at the last closing hour of the prayer chain (16:00-17:00) for corporate worship, as well as whatever hours they have volunteered to lead.

Of course, you are welcome to participate without volunteering to lead worship and prayer. Everybody is welcome!
